For visits regarding problems with an extremity (knees, shoulders, etc.) please wear or bring comfortable clothing.
Bring all prescription and over-the-counter medications, including all vitamins and supplements, to every visit.
Instructions Before Botox, Juvederm and Bolotero Treatments
No aspirin for 10 days prior to procedure
To reduce bruising: Arnica Montana 30c; take 4 tablets 4 times a day for 4 days prior to procedure and continue for 4 days after procedure. The tablets dissolve on the tongue and may be found at Whole Foods, Lamar Plaza Drug Store, People’s Pharmacy and other pharmacies
No ibuprofen or ibuprofen containing medication for 7 days before procedure (Aleve/Advil)
Along with the Arnica, Bromeline helps decrease bruising (the active ingredient in pineapple) so take some Bromeline supplements or eat some pineapple once a day for 4 days prior and 4 days after your procedure
Ice is the best thing for swelling and redness: no longer than 15 minutes at a time to prevent frostbite

Refrain from salt as much as possible for 3 days post procedure – salt will dramatically increase swelling (margarita, chips, processed foods, especially meats and soup are some of the highest sodium foods).
